TOURNAMENT
RESULTS
Saturday
August 27 was a great day for Westside Wrestling!
Hosting Kauai's first ever wrestling tournament
took a lot of planning and effort, but was well
worth it. Just over 30 wrestlers competed in age
group/weight class divisions that ranged from 5
to 50 years old and from 50 to over 300 pounds.

highlights. The tournament will be featured on the
"JK Show", aired on the local Kauai TV
station in late September/ early October. The Garden
Island newspaper devoted half of the front sports
page to the tournament on the following day. Check

We are allready planning our second annual tournament.
Coach Mac will be meeting with the Hawaii USAW board
to pick the best time for next years tournament,
to get the most involvement from clubs on the neighbor
islands. |
